Our Story

Intensity opened in 2006 from a shared passion for aerobic gymnastics and a dream to inspire the next generation. Founders Cassie and Jodi both held a deep love for the sport, and with two keen daughters by their side, they set out on a journey that would shape not only athletes, but lives.
What began as a small club quickly grew into a close-knit community. Cassie and Jodi created an environment where athletes built confidence, resilience and lifelong friendships. Over the years, countless memories were made, strong bodies and strong minds were developed, and many athletes grew so deeply within the club that they returned as coaches themselves, continuing the legacy they once lived as athletes.
Aerobic gymnastics is a dynamic and high-energy discipline that combines strength, flexibility, endurance and artistry. Athletes perform complex routines to music, showcasing power, coordination and expression. Beyond the physical skills, aerobic gymnastics teaches discipline, teamwork, self-belief and the courage to perform on and off the floor.

At its heart, Intensity has always been more than a gymnastics club. It is a family. A place where athletes feel supported, safe and celebrated. A place where individuality is embraced, confidence is built, and everyone is encouraged to become the best version of themselves.
In 2023, after years of coaching and being shaped by the values and vision of Cassie and Jodi, Bek took over the club. With immense gratitude and pride, she continues the journey they began, striving to create the same nurturing, empowering environment that allowed so many athletes to thrive.
Intensity offers both recreation and competitive classes starting from just 5 years old. Over the years athletes and coaches have earned opportunities to experience this sport at state, national and international levels.
Intensity proudly carries this legacy, honouring the foundations laid in the past, celebrating the strength of the present, and inspiring the future, keeping the dream alive for generations to come.

Coach Bek
Owner / Director / Head Coach
With over 10 years of coaching at Intensity, my journey began from a deep love of aerobic gymnastics and the incredible coaches who inspired me along the way. I am passionate about passing on my knowledge and love for the sport to the next generation. I hold an internationally accredited FIG Level 2 Coaching Qualification, am an Advanced Silver Aerobic Gymnastics Coach, an Intermediate Accredited Judge, and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Development also involving various Fitness qualifications.
What I love most about coaching is watching athletes grow, physically, mentally and emotionally. Seeing confidence build, skills develop, friendships form, and athletes support one another in competition is truly unmatched. One of the most rewarding moments is watching athletes I’ve coached step into judging and coaching pathways themselves, it’s a full circle that never gets old.
Some of my favourite moments happen side stage, locking eyes with an athlete before they compete and sharing that smile that says everything. Those moments are filled with pride, gratitude and trust, and they are ones I will treasure forever.
As a coach, my number one belief is giving every lesson everything you have. Success is not measured by podium finishes, but by personal growth and how far an athlete has come since they began. What you put in is what you get back.
Above all, I want every athlete to know they are believed in and supported. Pride comes not just from results, but from effort, commitment and the way they show up for each other. That belief and support is what makes Intensity such a special place.

Inspired by the supportive coaches she had growing up, her journey into coaching was driven by a desire to have the same positive impact on others. With a strong passion for teaching, her goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people through sport.
Now in her third year of coaching, she brings a lifelong connection to aerobics at Intensity, having started in 2011 at just nine years old. Throughout her athletic career, she competed across FIG Levels, AeroSchools and Aerodance, performing as an individual, in pairs and in teams. She also proudly represented Queensland at National Championships. experiences that remain some of her most cherished memories. Although she explored other sports along the way, aerobics was always the one that shaped her most and continued to draw her back.
As a coach, her greatest pride comes from seeing athletes thrive beyond the competition floor-building confidence, excelling in other areas of life, and applying the lessons learned through aerobics. These moments of growth are what make coaching so rewarding.
What she loves most about coaching at Intensity is the strong sense of family. The positive relationships between athletes and coaches have created a close, supportive and unbreakable community, one she feels incredibly lucky to continue being a part of.

I love seeing my athletes improve and have fun while learning new skills. There’s nothing better than watching someone nail a move they’ve been working on, and I love being there to cheer them on and help them get there.
I’ve been part of Intensity for eight years now, and it’s such a special place. The coaches here have always made it feel like a big, supportive family, and I’m excited to be part of keeping that community growing.
My favorite skill to do is a dive roll, and I love sharing my passion for gymnastics with everyone I coach. Outside of the gym, I play both the French horn and trumpet, which is a totally different kind of fun, and it keeps me busy in a creative way.
When it comes to dancing, I’m all about Better When I’m Dancin’ by Meghan Trainor. It’s just impossible not to smile! I can’t wait to help all the athletes at Intensity have fun, challenge themselves, and love every part of their gymnastics journey.

The Intensity community is something I grew up with and continue to value deeply. Coaching allows me to remain connected to a sport I am passionate about while supporting and developing the next generation of gymnasts.
I have been coaching for approximately two years and have recently completed my Intermediate Coaching Accreditation.
My background includes 13 years of competitive aerobics, lifelong dance training, and participation in a variety of footy sports, which has contributed to a well-rounded approach to athletic development.
My favourite element of a routine is the choreography, particularly the artistry and expression that bring the performance together.
As a coach, my proudest moments come from seeing athletes recognise their own progress, whether through small improvements or significant milestones.
What I value most about coaching at Intensity is the strong sense of community and mutual support, both within the coaching team and among the athletes and families.

Coaching allows me to support athletes as they develop not only their skills, but also their confidence, passion, and love for the sport. I find great fulfilment in watching athletes grow, whether that is through forming new friendships, mastering new skills, or finding the courage to perform on stage, and being able to guide and support them throughout their journey.
My desire to become a coach was inspired by the love, encouragement, and guidance I received from my own coaches. They played a significant role in developing my passion for aerobic gymnastics and in teaching me confidence and resilience. Through their influence, I was motivated to give back to the sport by providing the same positive support to the next generation of athletes.
I began my aerobics journey with Intensity in 2016 at the age of eight. Since then, I have grown extensively as an athlete and have also developed my skills as a coach and judge.
My favourite gymnastics skills are the vertical split and the pancake, which highlight flexibility, control, and strong technique.
Outside of the gym, I am a passionate Taylor Swift fan and enjoy music that keeps me moving, with “Happiness” by Alexis Jordan being a song that always inspires me to dance.
